The 17th Session (2009) ICTC

Dear Mr / Ms:

ICTC2009 will be held on October 26st~28rd in Hangzhou Zhijiang Hotel.

ICTC,the International Coverage and Transmission Conferencewhich, which used to be International Cable TV Conference, has been approved by the SARFT, held for 16 sessions since 1992,and become one of the mostinfluential international seminar activities in the broadcast segment in China.

The “Next Generation of Broadcast (NGB)" construction comes up to be the focus of development of the broadcasters and network operators. The community are particularly concerned about the plan of decade of NGB, ICTC2009 will invite senior experts from SARFT to preach and interpret NGB, and also organize a round table for Chinese and oversea experts.

“Two-way Network Transformation Forum” will discuss about: the trend of FTH in China, prospects of applications of "DOCSIS 3.0" in China, as well as related topics of EPON/EOC engineering applications.

As network integration is the basis of the construction of broadcasting networks, the conference will adress to relavant government policies of cross-region integration, as well as advanced experiences of the Jiangsu province.

This year, the organizing committee will invite again senior experts from the telecomms industry for presentations, and to discuss cooperations between the broadcasting and telecom industries on the “General Manager Forum”, and push forward “triple play” substantially.

Meanwhile, digital TV value-added services are facing great opportunities of development, ICTC2009 will hold a “Digital TV Value-added Services - Content Providers Forum” to exchange rich value-added content experience.

Substantial progress has been made in interactive television services in recent years. The ICTC2009 “Interactive TV Forum”, will focus on how to build an effective VOD platform and new operation experiences.

Technology Committee, and Cable TV Committee of China Broadcast Institute are preparing “Expert Recommendation of Comprehensive BOSS system for Cable TV”, and the draft will be published on ICTC2009 with corresponding expert report organization.

In response to suggestion from the representatives,ICTC2009 will launch a new forum, "Expert Talks", invite established experts to give lectures on new technologies and hot topics.

The conference will organize Chinese and oveersea expert presentations, display of new technologies and products as usual. The 2009 annual “China Broadcast Institute Award for Outstanding Contribution to Science and Technology” would be issued in the opening ceremony at ICTC 2009

Integrated with the WestLake scenery, and Wu and Yue Dynasty Culture, ICTC will keep going on with innovation all the time.
